The Last Word...
Here is what I have learned… God is good, His perfect will comes out of us as He has a plan and purpose for everything. I have learned a lot over the last 10 days traveling with students and college and career aged people. I consider everyone of them friends and am greatfull for the opportunity to lead such an amazing bunch of people. The week taught me patience especially with the...

Cheryl's Trip
The trip to El Salvador was amazing and a life changing experience. Getting to know the kids and their way of life changed me in how i view things and how fortunate we are to live in Canada. Visiting my compassion child and being able to see first hand what an influence we have on our children we sponsor was blessing.

A Wonderful Week
I am thankful for the opportunity to hve had the opportunity to go on this trip. I feel that is a highlight of my life to go and to also to be part of a group with my granddaughter Robynne. Often I was overwhelmed in a good way with what I saw, heard, and felt. The church is doing so very much in El Salvador but there is still so much that needs to be done. It was great to experience to go on this...
Whats going on in my world...
Hey everybody hows it going? Well we are all sitting in the hotel right now, getting ready to leave later today. i tell you, i dont wanna go home yet i want to go back to the comforts of my life in Canada. I saw a lot of people living in shacks and poor living conditions. That was hard for me because I i find myself compaining well in the comfort of my home, and they have nothing. So i guess my...
The trip was amazing it was great to see the heart of the leaders there especially the heart of Pastor Damian & Rosetta, and Ron and Sherry Lapka. The week was full of fun and adventure and I was personally stretched. I definately would love to come back again to see the impact we had and to see if the young people that are serving God are still passionate. Pastor Damian said that the we...
Abril's promised 1 post ;)
Hey everyone! I promised i would put up at least one post before this trip ended so here it goes. I am so blown away right now at how amazing this experience has been from beginning to end. At this point it seems totally surreal that we are heading home tomorrow and it will be back to real life :( As my family knows (hey guys lol) i love to travel and im never in a hurry to come back, even though...
Kyle's Spiffy Trip!!
The trip was amazing! I really enjoyed my time with the people of Corinto and really connected with them. The people of the church and all of the leaders really demonstrated their passion for the youth. It was difficult to witness the poverty and it was upsetting to see the lifestyles of some of the people but they still had great attitudes and are happy. It was amazing to see the unity between...
Wow!
This trip was amazing! I am so blessed to have been able to go to El Salvador and meet the people there. Everybody is so warm and welcoming, I had a great time playing with all the kids (I couldn’t really do much talking…) I loved how when you did something as small as buy a kid a freezy, their face would light up and they would be so happy, and all we had to do to connect with the...
Josue's Legendary Adventure!
So first off it was an honor to be able to be a part of this team and minister and bless/be blessed by the people of corinto and hacenda! This trip has blessed me more than I could have ever forseen. Now looking back at all the amazing times I had (cliff jumping) and the not so amazing times (hiking 10km to go cliff jumping lol) I see that it was part of God’s plan for my life. I will never...

What an Awesome Week
This trip was fantastic. I had the best week of my life. Just seeing all of the kids shining, smiling faces when they came outside and saw us sitting beside their soccer field made my day everytime. At one point I had about 10 nine year old girls braiding and un braiding my hair for half an hour. The fact that i could speak (not well, but sufficently) the language really helped me to meet some of...
My Memories of El Salvador
It has definitely been a week that will always be imprinted on my heart. I had never actually met Sherry previously, and it blessed me to be able to spend time in the Lapka’s home and get to know their compassionate and passionate heart for the people they are serving. In the state that I am (7 months pregnant), I had a lot of time to watch what was going on rather than always being...
A week to remember
This week has been absolutely amazing for Steve and me. I can definitely say that we will never forget our experiences in El Salvador, nor will we ever forget the people we have met and the relationships that we have begun to build. Ron has spent a good bit of this past week trying to convince Steve and me to return to El Salvador for a longer period of time…we are definitely intrigued by...
Sunday and the saddest time yet
This was a hard morning to get up to because we knew the fact that we were leaving. After getting all the gear packed we made it to the church in San Salvador. The worship was great even though they didnt they power point, we had a great time. We then were called up to the front and the church prayed for us and most of us had a good cry. It was hard to go but we know that we are bringing...
Saturday and the epic hike
So Saturday started a bit slower and and some people who were staying in the city were up at the crack of dawn and yet they didnt need to be. They could have slept in, a bit of miscommunication but that is ok. We made it to Hacienda and played some more soccer. We lost played a game of kings court which we combined El Salvadorainians and Canadians and had some epicness happening. After the...
Futbol and the Vegilia
We started the day not in the usual way, for breaky we had something special. We had eggs as per usual but then Sherry had made a huge pan full of bacon. It was so good!! Sorry for any of the team members that read that and didnt get the same. So we made it outta the house and headed up to Hacienda for the second part of the soccer tournament as we had had the Wii tourney the night befor....
Sound effects, sun burns, and I dont know where...
So like any other day here in El Salvador, the day went by really fast. We started off not to bad, we had to get some lumber for another project that is going on. We then were heading to the beach, morning is the best time to go since it was not so hot. The surf was awesome, and you know if the Aussies are there its good surfing, I met 2. After the body surfing, hence not having a surf board,...
Another Amazing Day
Well another day goes by and our trip to El Salvador is getting shorter by the second. This morning we got to go to the Compassion project in San Salvador and play with the kids. Origonally we were supposed to do some work project there, but upon arrival we were told that there was no work but to play with the kids. I will post some pics of that later but it was awesome, we played a couple...
